Given:
(ps. What does the "•" signify in the compound?)
Ni3(AsO4)2•8H2O

It's formula weight would be:

Ni x 3 = 176.07
As x 2 = 149.84
O x 8 = 128
H x 16 = 16.128
O x 8 = 128

Total = 598.038

Or should I break it down like this?

Ni x 3
As x 2
O x 8
H x 16
O x 8

Also how many atoms of hydrogen are present in 1.00 g of the compound? Report your answer in scientific notation to 3 significant figures.

Is this how I shall do this:

1.00g * ( 598.038 / 1 mole ) * (1 mole / 6.022 * 10^23 atoms H) = Final answer?

Or is there another technique to this question?

Thanks for reading.
