Answer: D

Why is (I) and (II) not true? My guess for (II) is that it would be true if the statement made was about the average kinetic energy instead of just kinetic energy. So it would be correct if the word average was there right?

As for (I), I know molecular particles move in straight lines. What's wrong about that statement? Could it be that the the words at any given instant is what makes the statement false?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

A physics question again...

Consider the ideal gas law, there is the assumption that all collisions are elastic and the size of molecules are negligible when compared to size of container.

The statement (III) should be correct but I guess it is not a main feature in ideal gas model.
