Alcohols, E, F, G are branched isomers of pentanol.
E cannot be oxidized by acidified potassium dichromate(VI).
F can be oxidized by acidified potassium dichromate(VI) but cannot be dehydrated.
G can be oxidized by potassium dichromate(VI) and can also be dehydrated.
Draw a possible structure for each of the three alcohols.

I concluded that E has to be a tertiary alcohol, since it can't be oxidized by potassium dichromate(VI) and FG were either secondary or primary alcohols, since they could be oxidized, but I don't know how F cannot be dehydrated while G can be.
Thanks!
