Hello everyone,

Considering that this is a sister forum to MHF, Chemistry Help Forum surely has a bright future. Chemistry for the WIN! :)

This thread is a great idea so I will sticky it.

For those of you that don't know me, my real name is Jameson and I'm an Administrator at Math Help Forum and Physics Help Forum. I'm finishing my degree in Russian studies in the fall but have had a life-long interest in math and completed essentially half an undergraduate math degree. I look forward to seeing you all in the future!

Jameson

I only picked up chemistry as a compulsory "science" subject in high school...now my university undergrad. degree revolves around it.
I also came here from MHF, but I much prefer chemistry to mathematics :)

Seconded, I did both Chemistry and Maths into sixth form and I prefer chemistry, inorganic chemistry is fun :]

Edit: I am e^(i*pi) on MHF and I like Sonic the Hedgehog

Oh lord, not another inorganic fanatic on here :P

My brief foray into that aspect of chemistry was when I had to study the industrial production of Sulfuric Acid. Nowhere near as interesting as fancy protein chains and ligands :)

ligands are ok when confined to the transition metals :p

We did the industrial production of styrene and now I am completely sick of the stuff

Well let me be the first to welcome you to CHF! :)

Now, I guess I'll introduce myself at this point. My name is Chris and I'm co-adminstrator on CHF's sister site Math Help Forum (MHF). In the real world, I'm a Ph.D. student at UC-Santa Cruz and I wrap up my first year of graduate studies two weeks from today. I just hope these two weeks go by verrrrrrry fast. XD

Chemistry was never a strength for me, so my job here is to basically make everything easier and convenient for you guys! I've taken some measures this evening to make spambot registrations harder to do (they have to answer a question I came up with as a part of the registration process; a good form of human verification). I know that CHF is almost a desolate waste land, so I would appreciate it if you guys could spread the word about CHF (tell your classmates and friends that are good in chemstry [we need more helpers] and those who need help) by using the Invite Friends feature (there's a link in the menu bar; I have it set where you can invite up to 5 friends at once).

I hope you all enjoy your stay! :D

Hi, my name is miniradman and I am a young fellow from Australia. I'm currently in year 11 (almost year 12) and doing chemistry at school. I like listening to metal music and I'm an active member of the spirit of metal. Chemistry has always been one of things that has facinated me throughout my younger years and I still enjoy it even though I struggle with the more complex questions.

In 2 years I hope to be at unversity to doing chemical engineering.
