In an acid-base neutralization reaction 23.74 mL of 0.500 M potassium hydroxide reacts with 50.00 mL of sulfuric acid solution. What is the concentration of the H2SO4 solution?
can someone please explain to me the first thing i should when trying to solve this problem?
First thing is to write an equation for the reaction.
Then you know exactly what is happening (the mole ratio)
So you can calculate the how much potassium hydroxide there is, use stoichiometry to find how much acid and then calculate the concentration (remember to use the NEW volume!)
